COMPUTER & INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CENTER:

Computers are the greatest assets in the technological world today. The configuration and availability of hardware and software is peerless in the Institution. The laboratories are perpetually upgraded to ensure the latest developments of the IT field. All systems are facilitated through Internet within the campus of the Institution. The internet lab is open to the students whenever required.


MECHANICAL WORKSHOP

The Mechanical Engineering Department of SITE has an ultra modern huge "Central Workshop" of more than 1,000 square meters area with heavy machines, the latest gadgets and equipment. The Central Workshop facilitates learning the different manufacturing processes required in the present industrial scenario. The intention is to educate budding technocrats in a practical approach to the competitive world.


PC LAB:

Professional Communications blend written, oral and graphic communication in a career-based environment. Proficiency in professional oral and written communication is a must in the modern scenario. In this context, students are required to develop and expand the ability to write, read, edit, speak, listen, apply software applications, manipulate computer graphics and conduct Internet research. The Institute has a state of the art Professional Communication Lab equipped with the latest software packages to improve the communication skills of the students.


Library

The Institute has a rich collection of more than 28,000 books including books of Indian and foreign authors. The library ensures provision for all supporting activities like photocopying, audio-visual room and an electronic media section. The library is connected to various national and international libraries through DEL-NET. The library subscribes to more than 85 journals and magazines of national and international repute.


NEW VISTAS:

Imagination is more important than knowledge. The Institute is committed to develop the kernel of education. The Institute has educational linkages with BARC, TIFR, IITs, CSIR labs and various Central Universities.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT :

The Institute has a number of eminent scientists as faculty members, who have already filed a number of patents based on their R&D work. SITE is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories and has applied for a number of research projects to DST, DRDO, CSIR and MoEF. The Institute is on the verge of developing a state-of-the-art Environmental Testing & Research Laboratory with main emphasis on environmental research and extending consultancy services to industries. An Atmosphere and Space Research Center is also running in the premises of the Institute.


Audio-Visual Centre / Cyber Cafe

Fully air conditioned AV Centers are fitted with modern communication and teaching aids like Over Head Projectors, Slide Projectors andWide Screen (PAS). A cyber cafe is available in the campus so that students can write and receive e-mail or surf at their convenience for gathering knowledge or 'alerts' on international and national activities.


Auditorium

Two big auditoriums of which one is air cooled and one is centrally air conditioned. There are two more multipurpose halls which are used for various types of activities like holding seminars, symposia, debates, cultural activities, showing movies, previews etc.


Uniform / Washerman

India is well known for its multi-layered and multi-cultural society. Several communities co-exist in India. With the wide spectrum of courses available, we have students from all communities. To ensure unity in diversity where a serious academic stream is being pursued, a unifying factor is needed to bind students with a uniform dress code. We have different dress codes for different streams. Facility of stitching and availability of the requisite material and accessories are ensured by the Management within the campus on payment basis. The facility of a washerman is available for all students.

Hostels /Mess

Separate hostels with a mess for boys and girls are provided for undergraduate and post graduate students. A separate hostel with air conditioning and air cooling facilities has been specially constructed for NRI students. Hostel and Mess charges are subject to change any time / on yearly basis as per decision of executive committee of University.
